The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Tennessee Manufacturers Association recognizes the efforts of industry to be better stewards of environmental resources and workplace safety.  These statewide award winners are announced every October during Manufacturing Month at the Manufacturing Environment & Energy & Safety Conference held every year around the state.

Air Quality Award
Given to the nominee(s) who demonstrates the best air quality environmental improvements.

Water Quality Award
Given to the nominee(s) who demonstrates best water quality environmental improvements.

Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Award
Given to the nominee(s) who demonstrates the best solid & hazardous waste management improvements.

Environmental Excellence Award
Given to the nominee(s) who demonstrates the best overall efforts in environmental improvements. Only those industries that have combinations of air, water, solid waste and/or hazardous waste permits are eligible for this award. 

Energy Excellence Award
An Energy Excellence Award will be given to an industry who has implemented significant energy improvements.

Lifetime of Environmental Excellence Award (Individual)
The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lifetime Excellence Award, will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated commitment, leadership and outstanding achievements in the areas of environment and energy for the regulated community throughout their career.  

Workplace Safety Excellence Award
Nominees shall be in compliance with established workplace safety requirements at the time of selection. Only Tennessee facilities of member companies of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry are eligible. The awards committee shall be guided in the selection process by the overall workplace safety results exhibited by the nominee. Capital investments, safety training hours and process improvements considered for awards should have been completed in the past eighteen months. The committee may consider facility operational policy and practices and capital investment dedicated to work-site safety.

Lifetime Safety Achievement Award (Individual)
The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lifetime Excellence Award, will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated commitment, leadership and outstanding achievements in the areas of workplace safety for the manufacturing industry throughout their career.
